Teaser Trailer

Just a couple of hours in on the head model of King Charles I for the teaser trailer. not very accurate at the moment, and theres a bit of creative licence at work. Hopefully he should take shape pretty quick. also theres alot of facial hair to cover the rough edges

will get an animatic up soon with all the sound blocked in, so we can maybe look at scoring it.

OK heres the state of the current animatic for the teaser trailer. I`m having some problems with my sound at the moment, so apologies for that.

The main idea being that the text (and maybe voice over) explains the premise to the mod with sound of parliament in the background. Towards the end the face (king Charles) says (War) and then is illuminated by the flash of musket fire and the background sound changes to shouts and the sounds of swords being drawn.

Just to reiterate this is an animatic. the Layout and text will improve and the quality of the head and motion will be far more naturalistic.

Looks good:) gonna look even better once you have hair and beard and his face more rounded gonna look awesome, the only thing i have to nit pick is that the white type is kind of hard to read, but other than that can't wait for the full thing especially when Alba gu brath has scored it:)

Well the content will stay much the same (what the words say and the head close up idea) but all the "design" elements are gonna change. better more readable type. nicer font. better head and animation. if the timing is ok then i`l make sure i stick to them (the speech, gun flashes and text speed) and we can green light the score.

Oh yea, and the finished one wont be a shitty wmv and compressed to buggery

slowly getting there. Eyes and skin working. Having a bit of trouble with the hair. he`s a very hairy guy and when i get it to render, time goes through the roof:shock: . a couple of hours work should see it fixed. detail will go up after a Zbrush pass.

Looks great can't wait to see it once you pass it through ZBrush as its a really good programme, also just can't wait to seeit all finished. Did Alba gu brath send you a copy of the music for the trailer?

Great:) what did you think of the music?

the music seems ok. i was expecting it to build up a bit, just to raise the tension before charles speaks. the sound effects will be telling the story there so i`m sure it`ll all come together in the edit

I bet its gonna look good once you take it through ZBrush, as I've only tried the trial and that seemed really good

You could send me the final version of the trailer (with SFX) and i'll edit the music?

Sure thing. That wasn`t a criticism of the track by any means. were bound to come up with slightly different takes on things. its pretty hard getting everybody thinking the same when their in the same room, let alone when were typing away like loons here.

i`ll keep the music on any vids i post as i go. Any crits of any mixing i do will be usefull. your probably more qualified to do any of the auditory work anyway. and of course if you want to change anything with the score it can be swapped in at any time.

a few tweaks a nudges needed still. Also some hair, which i hope will be ready in a couple of days.

Wow:) I love it, the writing do you reckon will look ok in Black just might make it abit easier to read, But man once Alba gu brath is finished with the Music its gonna be unbelievably good , and (fingers crossed) should attract alot more attention

depending on how much time i get to polish i was hoping to shop all the text the same as the title. Its actually white text with a thin black border, but i put that on as a quick fix when the plan was rendering at 720p resolution. it totally gets lost at lower rez
i`ll make sure i have another pass at the text before we go to master.

thought i`d post up my latest version of the teaser. getting close. Still hairless, but hopefully i`ll get that fixed very soon.

Looking better everytime I see it:) once you manage to figure out the hair its gonna look great:)
